Testing Your Filter In Game
Use short farming runs to check whether your rules are helping before you trust them for a long grind.
Run a small test first
Take a new filter into a short activity, watch a few drops, then adjust. If too much is showing, tighten the bottom cleanup. If too little is showing, move protection rules higher or make them less strict.
Toggle the filter when unsure
Use the in-game filter toggle to compare hidden loot against visible loot while you are learning the rule order. This is the easiest way to catch an item type or rarity you forgot to protect.
Remember hidden is not gone
A loot filter hides or recolors what you see; it does not automatically salvage or sell items for you. If you are still collecting resources or experimenting with gear, keep the filter forgiving.
