Affix and Greater Affix Targets
Use affix rules to find real upgrades instead of highlighting every item with one familiar stat.
Match the item slot
An affix rule is much safer when it also names the gear slot. If you are chasing ring rolls, make the rule about rings. If you are chasing gloves, make it about gloves. This keeps one useful stat from lighting up the wrong items.
Ask for enough good stats
For most upgrade searches, look for at least two strong affixes from a short list instead of only one stat. A one-stat rule is helpful while leveling, but it gets noisy fast once your build is established.
Let Greater Affixes stand out
Greater Affixes are one of the clearest reasons to stop and inspect a drop. Give them a loud color, especially when they appear on the item slot or unique you are actively farming.
